Welcome back to a new and exciting school year! I hope you all had a wonderful summer break filled with memorable moments. As we start on this new school year, I am thrilled to see our students' smiling faces and to have our school buzzing with energy once again!

Our dedicated team of teachers and staff have been working hard to prepare for the upcoming year! We are committed to fostering a love for learning, encouraging personal growth, supporting each child in reaching their full potential, and connecting with our community.

We look forward to partnering with you to create a positive and enriching experience for your child. Your involvement and support are crucial to their success, and together, we can achieve great things.

My middle school career began in 2016 teaching ELA in the AdVenture STEM program at Herman Intermediate in Oak Grove. After the pandemic, I moved into administration beginning as an Academic AP at El Camino Middle (DCP) and an AP of Curriculum and Instruction at John Muir Middle (SJUSD). I'm thrilled to be working with Dr. Sarmiento as the new VP at Hubbard Media Arts Academy in Alum Rock. Prior to 2016, I had a twenty year career at the high school level teaching and working as an administrator in East Side and Campbell Union High School Districts beginning in 1995. 

I'm so excited to be joining the Alum Rock family along with some of my colleagues whom I have worked with over the years. I've only been at Hubbard a few weeks, but it already feels like the perfect fit! I adore being an educator as well as the mom of three remarkable teenagers (ages 19, 17 and 14). My beloved husband works at a catering company that makes 600 lunches a day for students in Campbell. Whenever I have the chance, I like to travel and explore new places. One of my favorite activities is scuba diving in warm tropical oceans where I can swim with octopus, turtles and colorful fish. Most days, you can find me in my backyard basking in a tropical sanctuary full of dogs, a cat, and several koi ponds.
