An Evening With NASA at Hubbard Media Arts Academy was an amazing experience for all of ARUSD. We were able to invite all the ARUSD community and we had 1,374 on campus for almost 3 hours. Our students explored all the 35 booths and activities to learn more about Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEAM). We live in the Silicon Valley and our students could see and talk to these Silicon Valley Professionals and it opened their eyes to these opportunities that are in our backyard.

Hubbard Media Arts Academy has partnered with the Latino Film Institute Youth Cinema Project for the past three years. 4th and 7th grade students have professionals from the film industry introduce filmmaking in the classroom. With support, students go through the filmmaking process including writing scripts, editing, producing, acting, and filming! At the end of the year students watched their films on a big screen along with other students at the Hammer Theater in downtown San Jose!
